TESTIMONIAL
Kristian played a leading role in the interior design of Caption by Hyatt Kabutocho Tokyo, which marked the Tokyo debut of Caption by Hyatt, Hyatt’s new select-service lifestyle brand. He is an exceptionally talented designer who combines a refined design sensibility with a strong practical understanding of architecture, construction, and the technical details required to bring a design concept to life.
Kristian also has an outstanding ability to build strong and constructive relationships with a diverse range of project stakeholders, including the owner, architects, contractors, PA, hotel operator, and artists. His positive attitude, energy, and genuine character brought considerable motivation and momentum to the entire project team. This project represented a new challenge: introducing the Caption by Hyatt brand to Tokyo for the first time. Even during difficult periods marked by rising construction costs and numerous design changes, Kristian remained consistently persistent, constructive, and forward looking. At the same time, he approached every design decision with integrity and maintained a clear and deeply held commitment to protecting the project’s core design vision.
It was through Kristian’s leadership, drive, and ability to bring people together that we were able to create a distinctive hotel with a strong and original identity. It was a genuine privilege to work with him, and I remain deeply grateful for the significant contribution he made to the success of the project.
